Ms. Underhill has advised hundreds of business owners over the last 25 years on corporate, customer, employee, tax and real estate matters and in lawsuits involving business, government, and real estate disputes. Her firm has become a well-recognized and reputable office in her area.
In recent years, Ms. Underhill developed an innovative new approach to providing legal services to small and growing businesses. The firm offers legal services plans to business owners that feature affordable, fixed monthly fees and other benefits.

Ms. Underhill was first employed with Howrey & Simon in Washington, D.C., and later as a trial attorney and assistant general counsel for the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (now known as the Office of Thrift Supervision). She became special counsel to the Denver, CO law firm of Gorsuch Kirgis Campbell Walker & Grover, and then a shareholder in the national law firm of Popham, Haik, Schnobrich & Kaufman, Ltd.. Subsequently, she co-founded Underhill & Underhill, P.C. in Greenwood Village, CO.

Admitted as one of the first women undergraduates to attend Yale University, Ms. Underhill received her B.A. degree cum laude in 1973. She attended Washington College of Law where she completed a J.D. degree in 1979. Admitted to practice before the District of Columbia Court of Appeals that same year, she was later admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the Temporary Emergency Court of Appeals, the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the District of Columbia and 10th Circuits, and the Colorado Supreme Court.

Active in her community, Ms. Underhill served on the parks, trails, and recreation commission for Greenwood Village for many years. She served by gubernatorial appointment as a public member of the Colorado State Board of Accountancy and as a delegate to the Statehouse Conference on Small Business. She also spent time on the board of directors for the Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce and co-chaired the Colorado Women's Leadership Coalition, a statewide coalition of over 90 women's and girls' organizations in Colorado.

A longstanding member of the Colorado and Arapahoe County Bar Associations, a former member of the board of directors of the Colorado Women's Bar Association, and former member of the amicus curiae committee of the Colorado Bar Association, Ms. Underhill has been named a Top Attorney by The Global Directory of Who's Who for 2016, was named a Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts Mile Hi Council in 1997, and later received the Girl Scouts U.S.A. National Honor Award.
