VERO BEACH, FL, May 21, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to name Robert Stahl an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achiever. An accomplished listee, Mr. Stahl celebrates many years of experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field.

As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With more than 45 years of professional experience, Robert Stahl, along with his co-author Tom Wallace, are recognized as the thought leaders with regard to the implementation and operation of the executive component of Sales & Operations Planning (eS&OP). Mr. Stahl has written six books that document his thinking and their approach, which include:

• Sales & Operations Planning – The Executive Guide
• Sales & Operations Planning – The How-To Handbook
• Sales & Operations Planning – The Self-Audit Workbook
• Sales Forecasting – A New Approach
• Master Scheduling in the 21st Century
• Building to Customer Demand

These books are available on Mr. Stahl's web site (www.RAStahlCompany.com) or through Amazon.com, and remain the benchmark books regarding S&OP. Additionally; some of these books have been translated into seven (7) languages throughout the world.

Mr. Stahl attended Villanova University on a Navy scholarship, graduating in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He then began his working experience as an officer in the U.S. Navy, serving in Vietnam and subsequently in the destroyer navy, and then as staff officer to an Admiral. During his service, he was pre-selected to the rank of Lieutenant. He resigned in 1970 to pursue a career in private industry.

Mr. Stahl was hired by the Continental Can Company as an "executive trainee," and subsequently placed in an integrated can plant in Paterson, NJ, as a schedules coordinator. After experiencing the dramatic lack of planning & scheduling methods, Mr. Stahl left Continental Can to become part of a company where he could be a major influence in innovating and implementing improved practices. While at EG&G Sealol, Inc., with the guidance of Oliver Wight, Mr. Stahl implemented improved practices that contributed to increasing their ROI from 8 percent to 48 percent. These practices became part of the foundation for S&OP. In 1980, the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certified Mr. Stahl as a CPIM. In future years, three of his books were used by APICS as part of this certification practice.

In 1981, Mr. Stahl left industry, joining Oliver Wight as an Associate so that he could help others learn, implement, and operate the methods he had a part in developing. Following Oliver Wight's death in 1982, Mr. Stahl became an independent S&OP coach, working with some of the best companies in the world - large and small, public and private, in nearly every industry. They include: Jarden Corporation, Graco, DentSply Corp, Shaw Industries, Daiichi Sankyo Pharma, Calphalon, Textron Lycoming, V&M Star, Crosman, Clorox, Newell-Rubbermaid, Dow Chemical, MasterControl, and Sanford, among others.

In addition to his books, Mr. Stahl has written articles for professional journals and is highly sought for his expertise. He has served as S&OP editor and columnist for Foresight, the journal of the International Institute of Forecasters (IIF). His columns and much of his other writings on his web site are free to download.
