Dr. Armacost has been recognized as a president emeritus of Forman Christian College since 2012.

With nearly 60 years of professional experience, Dr. Armacost has been recognized as a president emeritus of Forman Christian College since 2012, having been president and principal since 2002, and president emeritus of Eckerd College since 2000, having been president since 1977. Since his retirement, he has served as a consultant with North East Christian University since 2016, and he previously served as a senior adviser with the Council of Independent College from 2001 to 2003. Earlier in his career, Dr. Armacost was president and a professor of psychology with Ottawa University from 1967 to 1977, program director for the Association of American Colleges from 1965 to 1967, and dean of students and chair of the Department of Psychology at Augsburg College from 1959 to 1965.
Dr. Armacost began his career as a student at Denison University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in 1957. He continued his studies with the University of Minnesota, earning a PhD in 1963. He is a member of with the American Council of Education, the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, and the Florida and National Associations of Independent Colleges and Universities.
Throughout his career, Dr. Armacost has been recognized many times for his outstanding work, becoming an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Honoree. He has earned features in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who in American Education, and he was named to the Tampa Bay Business Hall of Fame. Looking ahead, Dr. Armacost intends to continue sharing his knowledge of the field with students at North East Christian University.
