Prior to this, he held the position of director of engineering at Wavetek, Inc., and he was previously the vice president of worldwide operations for Valor Electronics, Inc., and vice president of research and development for Action Instruments, Inc. Mr. Mintz began his career at Hewlett Packard and was involved in the early development of mini-computers and over 30 hand held calculators. Additionally, he has served as a board member of several corporations.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Mintz pursued an education at San Jose State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He concluded his studies at Stanford University, graduating with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. Additionally, Mr. Mintz has completed service with the U.S. Air Force.
Beyond his efforts within the field, Mr. Mintz has participated in numerous endeavors in his professional circles. A former precinct manager in the County of San Diego, CA, he is serving with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department as a senior volunteer patrol. He has also volunteered with the American Heart Association and National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and refereed for the American Youth Soccer Organization.
In addition to his primary trade, Mr. Mintz remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Eta Kappa Nu while in college. Furthermore, Mr. Mintz has been recognized as a lifetime member of the IEEE and has given invited papers at their convention in NY.
