Shoji Teramura Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    UKYO-KU, KYOTO, JAPAN, June 07, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Shoji Teramura with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Teramura celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. A respected authority in the field of linguistics, Mr. Teramura served as an instructor of linguistics with Wakayama University for nearly three decades. During this time, he was a recognized contributor to the Bulletin of the Faculty of Education with the university. Since the inception of his career, Mr. Teramura has been credited as the co-author of "The Kenkyusha Dictionary of English Linguistics and Philology," which was published in 1982, and co-editor of "Shogakukan Random House English-Japanese Dictionary, Second Edition," which was published in 1994. Although Mr. Teramura left Wakayama University in 2011, he continues to study and publish from home.

Prior to joining Wakayama University, Mr. Teramura attended Osaka University, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in 1971 and Master of Arts in 1973. He briefly worked as a visiting scholar with Lancaster University between 1988 and 1989. In an effort to remain alert of recent developments in his field of focus, Mr. Teramura maintains involvement with The English Linguistic Society of Japan and JACET.

Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Teramura has been featured in a wide range of honors publications, including the first and second editions of Who's Who in Asia, which were published between 2006 and 2011. He was also selected for inclusion in more than a dozen editions of Who's Who in the World since the turn of the century.
