With more than 30 years of industry experience to his credit, Mr. Olds has been retired since 2004, having most recently worked as a senior advisor for Newbridge Capital LLC in 2004. Prior to this appointment, he held the position of advisor to the chairman for DBS Bank Ltd in 2001. Previously, Mr. Olds served as both vice chairman and chief executive officer for DBS Bank Ltd from 1988 to 2001.
Mr. Olds began his career in banking in 1965 and rose to managing director of J.P. Morgan & Co. before retiring from the firm in 1997. Before embarking on his professional path, he pursued an education at The Hill School, graduating in 1961. Mr. Olds concluded his studies at the University of Pennsylvania in 1965, earning a Bachelor of Arts.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Olds has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He contributed to the board of directors for RiskMetrics Group, Inc., Asia Society Northern California, Singapore Millennium Foundation and the International Monetary Conference. Likewise, Mr. Olds was a trustee of the California Historical Society and the Civil Service College Singapore.
In addition to his primary trade, Mr. Olds remains affiliated with the Bedford Golf and Tennis Club, and the Knickerbocker Club. From 1998 to 2001, he maintained direct involvement with Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew in Singapore. In light of his exceptional undertakings, Mr. Olds has been selected for inclusion in many editions of Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Asia, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
