A respected authority in the field of plastic surgery, Dr. Simons maintained a private practice based out of Paradise Valley for more than two decades.

    BRAINERD, MN, June 15, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John N. Simons, MD, is a distinguished biographee of Marquis Who's Who. A respected authority in the field of plastic surgery, Dr. Simons maintained a private practice based out of Paradise Valley for more than two decades. He previously served as an assistant professor, and later, associate professor of plastic surgery with the Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research, which is now known as the Mayo Clinic. In this position, Dr. Simons took great pride in being in the operating room and operating on patients. Holding a serious interest in health care delivery, he has submitted numerous articles to the Wall Street Journal and various other publications.

Prior to pursuing a career in medicine, Dr. Simons attended the University of Kansas, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1954. During this time, he spoke to the head of the university, who was also a doctor and family friend, about attending medical school. Dr. Simons went on to complete an MD through the University of Pennsylvania in 1958, internship in medicine through the University of Kansas in 1959 and residency in general medicine through the Mayo Clinic in 1963. In addition, he received a master's degree in surgery from the University of Minnesota.

While completing formal education, Dr. Simons was drawn toward the field of plastic surgery because it would allow him to see instant results from his work. Upon completing a residency in plastic surgery through the University of Kansas in 1965, he became certified through the American Board of Surgery in 1964, and he was later certified through the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1967. Since the inception of his career, Dr. Simons has attributed his success to his unlimited ability and desire to work. He started working while he was young and has enjoyed the challenge that comes with maintaining an active lifestyle. Noted for his professional integrity, Dr. Simons believes in being honest, staying informed and enjoying life.

He was later recognized as an associate professor of plastic surgery between 1972 and 1973. Beginning in 1974, Dr. Simons maintained a private practice in Scottsdale, Arizona, for six years. He later relocated to Paradise Valley, where he managed a private practice from 1981 to 2003.

Since the turn of the century, Dr. Simons has served as the founder and CEO of Simons Wellness Center. He is also recognized as a founder and CEO of Health Campus International with Consultants in Health Care Delivery. Dr. Simons previously served as a designer, financer and sole practitioner with Southwest Plastic Surgeons from 1974 to 2003. A recognized speaker in his fields of practice, Dr. Simons maintains involvement with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Association of Plastic Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Plastic Surgery Research, Western Surgical Society and American Head and Neck Society.

In recognition of his contributions to the field of medicine, Dr. Simons was named among Outstanding Ambulatory Surgical Faculty in America by the American Society of Ambulatory Surgeons in 1987. In addition, he was previously listed among Outstanding Young Men in America in 1967. Since the turn of the century, Dr. Simons has been featured in a variety of honors publications, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in Science and Engineering and Who's Who in the World.
