Daniel Feaster Celebrates 35 Years of Professional Excellence in Behavioral Science

Dr. Feaster has had his research featured in the Journal of Family Psychology and Drug and Alcohol Dependence



With the use of numerous grants, he has conducted research into the behavioral and social approaches to preventing AIDS, and HIV testing and counseling.

    MIAMI, FL, June 26, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel Feaster has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With 35 years of practiced academic experience, Dr. Feaster serves as a Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Miami, where he started in 2008 as an associate professor. At the start of his career, he joined the Urban Institute in Washington DC as a research assistant. Over the years, he has obtained expertise in the field through his work with the Institute for Research on Poverty, the Center for Family Studies, and the Center for Biopsychosocial Study of AIDS at the University of Miami and Florida International University. With the use of numerous grants, he has conducted research into the behavioral and social approaches to preventing AIDS, and HIV testing and counseling.

An expert in his field, Dr. Feaster holds a Bachelor of Arts from George Washington University, a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a PhD from the University of Miami. A leading voice in the field, he is affiliated with the American Statistical Association, the American Psychological Association, the International Biometrics Society, and the College on Problems of Drug Dependence.

Throughout his career, Dr. Feaster has contributed to articles in the Journal of the American Medical Association, the Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment, the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, and Psychology and Health. Along with other scholars, he coauthored "adapting the structural family systems rating to assess the partners of interaction in families of dementia caregivers" and "factors related to loss of child custody in HIV+ women in drug abuse recovery." In the near future, Dr. Feaster intends to experience the continued growth and success of his research.
