Bishop Robert McKinstry is the 7th son of 14 children, 13 sons and 1 daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Temp McKinstry in Aliceville, Alabama. He is the caring husband of one wife Frankie for over 53 years of marriage who was also his childhood sweetheart. He is a caring and loving father of two daughters Joyce and Chanda (Anthony) Catching, and the giving grandfather of three darling grandchildren (Victoria, Robert and Anthony Catching).

Bishop Robert McKinstry was introduced to Holiness by his sister-in-law, Angie Conner and was baptized in Jesus Name on October 5, 1975 and received the Gift of the Holy Ghost nine (9) days later. His wife, Frankie and daughter's Joyce and Chanda were also baptized in Jesus name and also received the gift of the Holy Ghost fulfilling the scripture in Acts 2:38.

Bishop Robert McKinstry's first experience of divine healing came when he was instantaneously healed of a stomach ulcer that he suffered with for several years prior to being saved. That healing urged him to seek more of God.

His love for the Lord, commitment to God and the Victory Orthodox Apostolic Faith Church caused him to be elevated in the Service of Christ. He has held the office of Deacon, Church Treasurer, Brotherhood Chairman, Assistant Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, Minister's Alliance Chairman, Licensed Ordained Minister, 2nd Assistant Pastor, Assistant Pastor and Associate Pastor. He currently holds the offices of Senior Pastor, Trustee President, Licensed and Ordained Elder since 1988, Jurisdictional Bishop and is a member of the "The Executive Board of Directors" of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. Bishop Robert McKinstry is committed to giving of his time, substance and spiritual guidance to meet the needs of the community. His influence has been effective in establishing a food pantry and soup kitchen to help families in the community know that someone cares. His love for God gave him a hunger to learn more about God's word, so he enrolled in the Midwest Apostolic Bible College to further his studies. He also studied at Ivy Tech Community College, Emmaus Bible College and has been instrumental in implementing a satellite school at the Victory Orthodox Apostolic Faith Church. From there the Systematic Bible School was formed for all of those that desire to learn more about God. He currently serves as the Executive Director of SBS Ministries. Jurisdictional Bishop Robert McKinstry is a graduate of the Institute of Degree Studies (Republic Engineer Institute of Scranton, Pennsylvania) where he graduated as a Certified Industrial Electrician and Computer Technologist. He currently holds his United Steel Workers' Certified Industrial Electrician Journeyman's Certification Card. He is a retired Industrial Electrician of Republic Engineering Technology, Inc., where he worked for 34 years and 8 months of his life and still remained faithful to God.

Bishop Robert McKinstry has traveled near and far including Athens, Greece, Corinth and Israel spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ fulfilling the Scripture according to St. Mark 16:15.
