With more than 50 years of industry experience to his credit, Dr. Reitmeister is currently retired, having most recently worked as a trust specialist for Wells Fargo Advisors, formerly A.G. Edwards and Sons, Inc., from 1992 to 2016. Previously, he served Wells Fargo Advisors as senior vice president of investments from 1999 to 2007, investment officer in 1999, vice president of investments from 1979 to 1999, and a senior financial consultant from 1974 to 1979. Holding the positions of financial advisor, senior vice president, and investment officer for Wachovia Securities, LLC, from 2007 to 2009, branch coordinator and special partner for DuPont Walston from 1969 to 1974, insurance and investment consultant for John Hancock from 1968 to 1969, project director for the Gillette Company from 1967 to 1968, and regional manager for the Cosmair Division of L'Oréal Paris from 1963 to 1967. Dr. Reitmeister began his career as an assistant merchandise manager for Bloomingdale's from 1962 to 1963.

Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Reitmeister pursued an education at Queens College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in economics and political science in 1960. In 1969, he continued his academic efforts with a Master of Business Administration in industrial psychology and management at Baruch College as well as a diploma from the New York Institute of Finance. Following these accomplishments, Dr. Reitmeister obtained a Degree in Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning in 1974. Dr. Reitmeister concluded his studies at American Western University in 1982, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy. He was also noted as an honorary graduate of Stuyvesant High School. Furthermore, Dr. Reitmeister has been registered as an investment advisor representative and licensed in investments, commodities and futures.

Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Dr. Reitmeister has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He has excelled as partner at Indiana Investors from 1980 to 1988, National Property Investors from 1980 to 1984, Petro Lewis from 1979 to 1984, Canadian American Oil Company from 1980 to 1994, Nora and Associates from 1981 to 2000, CommercePoint, Inc., from 2004 to 2010, and Rollingbrook Properties, LLC, from 1983 to 1992. He has also been a lecturer for Purdue University, Roosevelt University, and Calumet College of Saint Joseph. Additionally, Dr. Reitmeister has held many roles for Temple Anshe Sholom between 1975 and 2001, Menorah Credit Union between 1979 and 1983, the Visiting Nurse Association of Northwest Indiana between 1992 and 2005, the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra between 2002 and 2015, the Pinnacle Condominium Association since 2006, and B'nai B'rith International.

Between 1974 and 1994, Dr. Reitmeister was a financial planning and retirement consultant for such companies as BP-Amoco, LTV, Inland Steel, Ford Motor Company, and C.B. Geigy Pharmaceutical. He has also contributed to the adjunct faculty for the College for Financial Planning, Indiana University and Purdue University. The director and principal for Arctic Exploration, Inc., he was the president and owner for Le Baron Communications from 1980 to 1996 and Anglo American Productions from 1987 to 1998. Dr. Reitmeister has been associated with the Chicago Sinai Congregation since 2008, Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A. since 1971, and Sinai Veterans of Foreign Wars since 2010.

Invited to a White House Briefing by Chief of President's Council Economic Advisors, Dr. Reitmeister has been involved in multiple capacities for such companies as Filthy Rich Enterprises, the Illinois Theatre Center, the Young Republican Club of Queens County, New York, and Northwest Indiana Public Broadcasting, Inc. He has also offered his efforts and resources to Kol Ami, the Boy Scouts of America, the Cook County Sheriff's Office, and SESSA. Participating in security agencies between 2005 and 2008, Dr. Reitmeister previously completed service with the U.S. Army, rising to the rank of Northwest Staff Sergeant from 1960 to 1965.

Dr. Reitmeister has found success with his creative works as well, having authored "Portfolios, Inc. Key Objectives in Investments" and co-authored "Retirement Planning." A columnist for Daily Southtown Star, the American Medical News Journal, and the Times, he has also been the producer and host for "The Money Doctor" from 1985 to 1994 and "The Market Crisis of October" on PBS in 1987. From 1954 to 1956, he was an artist for New York Hungarians. Likewise, Dr. Reitmeister has contributed articles to many esteemed publications, such as the New York Times, The Star, The Economist, and the Post Tribune, among many others.

In addition to his primary trade, Dr. Reitmeister remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise, such as the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership, Médecins Sans Frontières, the Hebrew Congregation of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, the Independent Television Producers' Association, and the American Friends of the Hebrew University. He has maintained involvement with the American Association of University Professors, the University Club of Chicago, the Metropolitan Opera Association, the Friends of the IPO and the Friends of Grant Park Orchestra. Dr. Reitmeister has also been a member of the Queens College Alumni Association, the Western University Alumni Association, the Baruch College Alumni Association and the Stuyvesant High School Alumni Association, among others.

Dr. Reitmeister has been additionally active with the American Associates of Ben-Gurion University, the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, the American Society for Yad Vashem, the National Geographic Society and many performing art societies. He is an associate member of the Tower Club, the Union League Club, the Harvard Club, and the Standard Club. A lifetime member of VOSH International, he has been a charter member for the Registry of Financial Planning Practitioners from 1983 to 1995, president of the Chicago Association of Financial Planners in 1975, vice president of the South Chicago chapter for the International Association for Financial Planning, a charter member for the Michiana Association for Financial Planning, and a charter member for the International Association for Registered Financial Planners. Currently associated with the Institute for Certified Financial Planners in multiple positions, Dr. Reitmeister has been formerly associated with Tau Delta Phi, Delta Omega Kappa, Zeta Beta Tau, and Alpha Epsilon Pi.

In light of his exceptional undertakings, Dr. Reitmeister has accrued several accolades and honors throughout his impressive career. Appointed as a Colonel by the Governor of Kentucky since 1988, he has been recognized as Man of the Year by B'nai B'rith International in 1986 and among the Decorated Order of William Tell. He has also been presented with the Excellence Award from the National Society of Accountants in 1985 and the Man of the Year Award from the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago in 2005. Dr. Reitmeister has been selected for inclusion in Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the Midwest and Who's Who in the World.
