An accomplished listee, Mr. Lyford celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Retired as a music teacher, Mr. Lyford devoted many years to the field, beginning at the Thorp School District in Washington in 1967 as a teacher. Earning an Associate of Arts from Clark College and a Bachelor of Arts in education and Master of Music Education at Central Washington State College, Mr. Lyford garnered a Washington and Arizona State Teaching certificate. He is also certified through Right at Home Home Care. In the years since his retirement, Mr. Lyford has been a music festival judge in Arizona, held a one-year position as Nogales Elementary Honor band teacher, and has taught at the Air and Space Academy. He has taught a woodwind seminar in Gallup, New Mexico, and a flute seminar instructor for the Sahuarita School District in Arizona.

Mr. Lyford has shared his talents by playing the baritone horn to accompany the The Sycamore Baptist Church's Worship Leader since 2017 and in 2018, the organization asked him to serve as a substitute teacher for the Adult Sunday School Classes. In addition to responsibilities related to his faith, he has held numerous positions, most recently working as a home health care assistant for the Right at Home Health Care Services since 2015.

A longstanding member of the National Education Association, the American String Teachers Association and the Arizona Music Educators Association, Mr. Lyford formerly spent 10 years as the treasurer of Faith Baptist Church in Vancouver, Wash.
