Elliot Magaziner is recognized for his significant professional longevity and his contributions to the music profession, which includes solo work for the New York Philharmonic Symphony.

Mr. Magaziner is recognized for his significant professional longevity and his contributions to the music profession, which include solo work for the New York Philharmonic Symphony, the Symphony of the Air, Kol Visrael, and other notable musical organizations. After studying at the National Orchestra Association from 1937 to 1934 and Princeton University in 1943, he went on to study music at The Juilliard School from 1946 to 1950. Dr. Magaziner debuted as a musician in New York City in 1952, and progressed professionally as a staff artist and concertmaster for CBS-TV and Radio, conductor and senior violin instructor for the Westchester Conservatory of Music and a visiting conductor for Dubuque Symphony. In 1970, he became music director and professor of music at Manhattanville College.

Alongside his aforementioned accomplishments, Mr. Magaziner has recorded an assortment of performances, including Vivaldi Concerto in C and Concerto in B with the Symphony Orchestra of Paris and Charles Ives Sonata #2, the latter of which was honored by The New York Times as one of the ten best of its release year. He also wrote "The Violinist's Tale," a book detailing his love for his instrument and his relationship with music, which was published in 2012. In addition to these achievements, the Westchester County Legislature has deemed December 1st to be Elliot Magaziner Day, an accomplishment that reflects Mr. Magaziner's distinguished contributions to his industry.

There are many achievements of note in Mr. Magaziner's career, and he was notably asked to play a small concert for King George V when he was invited to Columbia University for an honorary degree. Due to his continued interest in his career area, Mr. Magaziner is a member of the New York TV Musicians, where he serves as president. He also participates in the CBS Musicians Fund as secretary.
