With more than 40 years of industry experience to her credit, Ms. Mazzucato currently works as an artist, having closed her studio in 2017. Prior to this appointment, she served as a docent with the Detroit Institute of Arts Museum from 1990 to 1998. Previously, she held the position of trustee for the Downriver Council for the Arts from 1985 to 1990. Ms. Mazzucato began her career as the director and owner of the Alpha Art Gallery from 1977 to 1984.

Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Mazzucato pursued an education at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan. She continued her academic efforts with a Bachelor of Arts at Wayne State University in 1983. Ms. Mazzucato concluded her studies at Wayne State University in 1985, graduating with a Master of Fine Arts.

Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Mazzucato has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She has found much success with her artistic works, having had her art published in such works as "Paintings and Poems, Pitture e Poesie" in 1988, "New Horizons" in 1994, "Heimkehr-Homecoming" in 2001, and "America Celebration: A Visual Diary" in 2011. She has also been represented in such permanent collections as Evening at the Opera, the Michigan Opera Theatre, the Church of Corpus Domini Collection in Bolzano, Italy, and the Regional Society for the Arts in Appiano, Italy, among others. Her major works have been featured in exhibitions at such venues as Galleria d'Arte Sant'Isaia, Galleria La Spirale, the Appleton Gallery in Toronto, Bowers Museum, the Montserrat Contemporary Art Gallery, and, most recently, the Clare Gallery at the Franciscan Center for Urban Ministry. Ms. Mazzucato has established an extensive archive of her artwork online and was the subject of the 2007 documentary film, "Carla Carli Mazzucato: An Artist's Journey."

In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Mazzucato has accrued several accolades and honors throughout her impressive career. In 2000, she was recognized as a Leading Contemporary Artist by the SoHo Fine Arts Institute in New York City. Likewise, she has been presented with a Salute to Excellence Award from the Downriver Council for the Arts. Ms. Mazzucato was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who in America and Who's Who of American Women.
