During this time, she won many awards and was nominated for the Trinity Prize for Teachers. Over the years, Ms. Armstrong honed her skills through numerous other teaching positions and director of teacher certification at the University of Texas at San Antonio and Scott Foresman Publishing Company.

A certified supervisor, Ms. Armstrong holds a Bachelor of Science from Texas Women's University and a Master of Arts from the University of Texas at San Antonio. In order to stay aware of changes in the field, she affiliates herself with the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the International Association of Childhood. For her professional accomplishments, she has received an Outstanding Teaching Award from the University of Texas and the Trinity Prize for Outstanding Educator. In the near future, Ms. Armstrong plans on giving back to her community and enjoying her retirement.
