Paul Hayden is a professor emeritus at the University of Wisconsin.

A professor emeritus at the University of Wisconsin since 2007, Dr. Hayden is an accomplished educator, mediator, researcher and speech pathologist. Prior to retiring from active teaching, he served as a professor in the communicative disorders department for more than 30 years and was chairman of the department from 1988 to 2003. In the latter part of his career, from 1980 to 2007, he was also a consultant to hospitals in the area, utilizing his industry experience to assist both physicians and patients.

Having double-majored in psychology and speech pathology in his undergraduate years, Dr. Hayden become involved in a therapeutic profession to help people overcome serious health issues. It was during his transition from a master's program to a doctoral course of study that he received the opportunity to teach, which helped him discover his ability to connect with others on multiple levels. A certified speech pathologist, Dr. Hayden also has training in mediation, family law mediation, domestic issues and arbitration.

Though his career has included a number of highlights, Dr. Hayden is particularly proud of being able to help students present papers at national conferences. A published author himself, he understands the dedication and commitment necessary to accomplish such a feat. As for his own education, Dr. Hayden holds a Doctor of Philosophy in speech pathology from Purdue University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in speech pathology from Moorhead State University.
