Leonard Rovner Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Leonard Rovner received a letter of commendation from President Bush, and was honored with an award signed by Rosa Parks when his name was included on the Wall of Tolerance.

An accomplished listee, Leonard Rovner celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. Mr. Rovner earned a BS in Education, and a MS in Education from temple University. In addition, he attended and earned credits from Weidner University, Saint Joseph's University, University of Alaska at Fairbanks,and Clarion University of Pennsylvania.

In his 55 years of practiced experience, Mr. Rovner has served as a teacher, museum teacher, at the Academy of Natural Sciences, principal, assistant to the district superintendent, and member of the superintendent's advisory committee, as well as a member of the board of the Principal's Center at Harvard University.

He helped to participate with Virginia Knauer, special advisor to President Reagan, in celebrating the Bicentennial, and was invited to the White House to help with the planning of this event. He also helped with the planning and coordination of the visit of Audrey Hepburn, UNICEF Ambassador, when she appeared in Philadelphia to honor and celebrate the life of Anne Frank.

His college career includes assignments as a lecturer in psychology, adjunct full professor in the College of Education of Temple University, and coordinator of the E-3 Program in the Temple University School of Business and Management. He has also served as a guest professor at the Tianjin Normal University in China, the School of Fine Arts at the Tianjin Normal University in China, and has been awarded honorary doctorates from both colleges. He has also served as a guest professor at the Kasetsart University in Bangkok, Thailand.

His honors include being selected as the Sino American Ambassador of Friendship of Tianjin China, with a letter from the Foreign Minister of China thanking Mr. Rovner for his efforts to cement friendship between the people of the United States and the people of China.

In honor of his accomplishments, he has been awarded the Legion of Honor Award of the Chapel of the Four Chaplains, the Citizen Diplomacy Award of the Citizen Diplomacy International Organization, the Rose Lindenbaum Principal of the Year Award, a letter of commendation from President Bush, and being honored with an award signed by Rosa Parks when his name was included on the Wall of Tolerance.
