Regner A. Capener, EE, Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Rev. Capener has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the fields of engineering, investment banking and religious services

TEMPLE, TX, September 07, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Rev. Regner Capener, EE, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Rev. Regner celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Rev. Capener has been an investment banker at MG Holdings, LLC since 2012, senior pastor of the River Worship Center since 2006, president of Capener Ministries and Regner & Della Capener (R & DC) Ministries since 2005 and longtime president of R & DC Engineering in Anchorage, Ala. since 1991. Divvying up his time between fields, he remains busy doing what he is most passionate about.

Capener Ministries and R & DC evolved as an outgrowth of what began as Ekklesia House in 1991, which was primarily a digital recording studio aimed at recording praise and worship gatherings across the northwest and Canada. During the 1990s, R & DC began publishing a series of open letters to the Ekklesia, which were published through Ekklesia Publishing. By 1992, with the change to R & DC Ministries, additional ministry objectives were added in the form of counseling for pastors and church leaders along with enhancing publication of previous open letters. In 2006, the name was changed to Capener Ministries with the purpose of enlarging the building and creating a 24-hour worship center and other related church operations.

The eldest of two sons whose parents were both missionaries, Rev. Capener grew up in Eskimo villages in Alaska helping his father build churches throughout the arctic. By the age of 16, he began his work in public ministry and has since pastored numerous churches and has been involved in pioneering ministries. However, with the recognition that work in religious services would not sustain his wife and family, he entered college and pursued a field that would shine a light on his expertise in mathematics and engineering. Beginning his career in 1962 as a research engineer for Lockheed Missiles and Space Corporation in Palo Alto, Calif, he later served as an engineer and talk show host for Station KHOF-FM in Glendale, Calif., eventually becoming the general manager of Action School Broadcasting in Anchorage in 1984 and chief engineer of KTBY-TV, Inc., also in Anchorage, from 1988 to 1993. Regarding his work in religious services, Rev. Capener most recently served as senior pastor of House of Praise and Worship between 1980 and 1983.

In the field of engineering, Rev. Capener is a longstanding member of the IEEE, the National Association of Broadcasters and the Texas Association of Broadcasters and is a former secretary of the Rio Grande Valley chapter and the Anchorage chapter of the Society of Broadcast Engineers.

Active in his local community for many years, Rev. Capener has been involved with the Council on National Policy since 2004 and on the research board of advisors and as deputy governor for the American Biographical Institute since 1990. He is a former founding member of Hidalgo County Children's Advocacy Center. He was a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives between 2003 and 2004. He served on the board of directors, and was an advisor for the Anchorage chapter of the Women's Aglow International between 2001 and 2004, among other roles.

A pianist from the age of four, Rev. Capener has since learned to play over 30 musical instruments. Writing music between the 1960s and 1980s, he has contributed hundreds of scripture songs that have since become a part of the music of the body of Christ globally, many of which continue to be sung today. One of his favorite pastimes is continuing to sing and write alongside his wife Della Denise Capener.

Rev. Capener is the author of several publications and the author and composer of numerous gospel songs. Some of his works have included "A Tale of Two Husbands" in 2018, "Seven Nations, Seven Letters" in 2018 and "A Tale of Two Brides" in 2013. He has been the author of "Another Coffee Break" since 2004.

Included in over 35 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering and Who's Who in Religion, Rev. Capener has been credited with the invention of several broadcasting and electronic instruments. Studying at the University of Nebraska and Southwester College before serving in the U.S. Army between 1960 and 1963, Rev. Capener then spent a year at Bethany Bible College before earning a BA in Sales and Marketing at General Motors Institute in 1968 and becoming an ordained minister through the Full Gospel Assembly Church in 1971. Attending Fuller Theological Seminary where he studied Greek and Hebrew studies between 1974 and 1975, eight years later Rev. Capener earned an EE Diploma at the Electrical Engineering Institute in 1983. He is also a certified broadcast networking technologist through the Society of Broadcast Engineers.

Happily married to his wife Della for many years, Rev. Capener has 12 children, 28 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Some of Rev. Capener's biggest hobbies include studying history and languages. He also enjoys listening to music.
