Irene Neal Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Since 1990, Irene Neal has been featured in numerous art exhibitions worldwide, both solo and in group exhibitions.

An accomplished listee, Ms. Neal celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Ms. Neal began her career in 1975 with a solo art exhibition at Allied Chemical Corporation in Morristown, New Jersey and several group exhibitions at the Jersey City Museum, the New Jersey State Museum and the National Arts Club in New York City, among others. In 1977, these shows were followed by a solo exhibition at the Planetarium in Rio de Janeiro and inclusion in a group exhibition at Salao de Marinhas in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. Between 1980 and 1990, Ms. Neal had her work featured in numerous galleries including in a solo exhibition at the Ackerman Gallery in Memphis, Tennessee, and in a group exhibition at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center in Stamford, Connecticut.

In 1985, Ms. Neal's work appeared in a group exhibition in the Stamford Library in Stamford, Connecticut. After this achievement, she had a solo exhibit at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art in Greensburg, Pennsylvania in 1986. Following that achievement, Ms. Neal had her work featured in several group exhibitions including at the Visual Arts Festival in Edmonton in Alberta, Canada in 1989.

Since 1990, Ms. Neal has been featured in numerous art exhibitions worldwide, both solo and in group exhibitions. Some of her more recent exhibitions have been group exhibitions at the National Gallery in Prague in the Czech Republic from 2001 to 2002 and at the Today Art Museum in Beijing, China in 2008. Ms. Neal has also had work displayed in solo exhibitions at the Artexpo in New York City in 2012 and 2014 and an exhibition at the Ashok Jain Gallery in New York City that ran from 2014 to 2017.

Ms. Neal also has pieces represented in permanent collections at the Planetarium in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, International Paper in New York City, Pepperdine University in Malibu, California and many others. She has also been a contributor to a variety of art magazines and several catalogues of her work has been published. In 2015, Ms. Neal had a CD with a haiku poem on it sent into space aboard the Maven Rocket.

In addition to her creative work, Ms. Neal was a guest speaker at the College of Santa Fe, which was renamed the Santa Fe University of Art and Design and closed in 2018. In 2003, she presented an art lecture at the Greenwich Academy in Greenwich, Connecticut. After this opportunity, she gave a presentation of her work entitled Museum Monday with Irene Neal at the Foosaner Art Museum in Melbourne, Florida in 2013. Ms. Neal has also taught art classes for grades one through eight in the Wilton, Connecticut School District and was a first grade teacher in Hempfield Township in Greensburg, Pennsylvania for three years.

Prior to embarking on her prolific career, Ms. Neal received her Bachelor of Art from Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania in 1958. She also studied at the School of Visual Arts of Parque Lage in Rio de Janiero, Brazil from 1976 to 1977, the University of Memphis in Tennessee from 1979 to 1980 and the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut from 1982 to 1983. In 1985, Ms. Neal participated in the Triangle Arts Workshop in Pine Plains, New York.

Ms. Neal was featured on the Joan Rivers Show for her jewelry in 1990. She also had her jewelry shown by Joan Lundon on Good Morning America in 1990. Her artwork was included in the 2005 book "Abstract Painting: Concepts and Techniques" by Vicky Perry and was featured on the Flint Institute of Arts annual report from 2012 to 2013. She was also a recipient of the Tift Award from Wilson College in 2003. In addition to her awards, she is a member of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C. and is currently represented by Art 11 in Montreal, Canada. Ms. Neal has previously been included in multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who in American Women.
