JASPER, GA, September 08, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Sara Corkill with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Corkill celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After accruing more than 30 years of experience in education, Ms. Corkill retired from her role as a teacher with Woodstock Middle School in 2003. As the oldest of five children, she was always involved in helping others and teaching, so it felt natural to pursue a career in the field. Over the years, she taught within a number of schools, including Carver Elementary School, Carrie E. Gould Elementary School, Edwards Middle School, Salem High School and Memorial Middle School.

Just prior to entering the field, Ms. Corkill earned a Bachelor of Science in education from the University of Georgia. Subsequently, she received a Master of Education from Georgia State University. During her years in education, she was recognized many times, earning the honor of being named the Rockdale County Teacher of the Year and Edwards Middle School Teacher of the Year, and she was the recipient of the Female Referee of the Year Award through the Georgia State Soccer Association. Additionally, she has been featured in several professional publications, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the West and Who's Who in the World. In the coming years, Ms. Corkill intends to enjoy her retirement.
