A U.S. Navy Commander and accomplished Systems Engineer, Mr. Klett consistently seeks solutions to the most complicated problems. He opened his business, Klett Consulting Group, Inc., in 2002, holding the roles of president and chief executive officer since the business' inception. His company specializes in innovative system engineering solutions as well as system integration. In 2009, he was appointed to the board of directors of the Hampton Roads Federal facilities and Military Alliance in Norfolk, VA. Additionally, Mr. Klett was on the founding board of directors and held the role of government relations director with the Service for Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Council in Virginia Beach, VA, from 2008 to 2014.

Before becoming a Commander, Mr. Klett obtained his Bachelor of Science in physical science and computer science at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, in 1975. He then earned his Master of Science in system engineering at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA, in 1988. Mr. Klett is on the board of the Local Navy Academy Alumni Association.

Mr. Klett served in the U.S. Navy from 1975 to 1995 at the U.S. Atlantic Fleet and U.S. Pacific Fleet in Washington, D.C., San Diego, Newport Road Island, and Norfolk VA respectively. He is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association and has been on the industry board of the Hampton Roads Federal Facility and Military Alliance. In addition to his membership within military related organizations, Mr. Klett is on the regional board of the Hamptons Roads Chambers of Commerce, on the Professional Services Council, a part of the International Test and Evaluation Association and associated with the Tidewater Association of Service Contractors.

Mr. Klett considers learning how to implement innovation as the highlight of his career. Starting in 1998 as the initial program manager for the Joint Experimentation Program which designed and implemented the transformation of the Department of Defense. As someone who always possessed an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to shape the future, he knew that the only way to truly solve a present challenge involves creating long-term solutions. Using his education and military experience, he sought to provide solutions through system engineering. Realizing businesses similar to what he had in mind were scarce in his region, he opened his business in Virginia Beach, VA, as a way to provide a different kind of service and offer engineering options to a government client base. Under Mr. Klett's keen eye and engineering expertise, Klett Consulting Group, Inc., continues to achieve success after 16 years.

In 2010, Mr. Klett was named Virginia Veterans' Small Business Owner of the Year by Virginia Small Business Development Centers Network. His civic contributions include the aiding the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives in Washington, D.C., from 2009 to 2013. Furthermore, he is associated with the ziMS Foundation, the Make-a-Wish Foundation and the Disabled Veterans Foundation. He has been selected for several publications, including the 69th and 70th editions of Who's Who in America.
