    AMARILLO, TX, September 13, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Ann Grace Mojtabai with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Mojtabai celebrates many years of experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. With nearly 40 years of professional experience, Ms. Mojtabai was a writer-in-residence at the University of Tulsa from 1983 to 2005. Prior to obtaining this position, she was a Briggs-Copeland lecturer of English at Harvard University from 1978 to 1983, a fellow at the Radcliffe Institute of Independent Study from 1976 to 1978, and a librarian at the City College of New York from 1970 to 1976. From 1975 to 1976, she also served as a writer-in-residence with the Yaddo Foundation. Earlier in her career, Ms. Mojtabai was a philosophy lecturer with Hunter College from 1966 to 1968.

Ms. Mojtabai began her career as a student at Antioch College, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy in 1958. She subsequently joined Columbia University, completing a Master of Arts in philosophy in 1968 and earning a Master of Science in library science in 1970. Ms. Mojtabai is a member of PEN International, the Mark Twain Society, the Texas Institute of Letters and Phi Beta Kappa.

In addition to her professional teaching roles, Ms. Mojtabai has written a number of books. She is the author of "Mundome," "The 400 Eels of Sigmund Freud," "A Stopping Place" and "Autumn." In addition, she wrote "Ordinary Time," "Called Out," "Soon: Tales from Hospice," "All That Road Going," "Parts of a World," "Shine on Me" and the non-fiction "Blessed Assurance."

Throughout her career, Ms. Mojtabai has been recognized for her contributions, including with the Lillian Smith Award from the Southern Regional Council. The American Academy of Arts and Letters gave her the Literary Academy Award and the Richard and Hinda Rosenthal Award, and she held a Guggenheim Fellowship. Ms. Mojtabai has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women.
