Mr. Hartley began his career as a student at the University of California, Berkeley, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1971 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1974. He has been admitted to practice in the state of Colorado, as well as before the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the United States Courts of Appeals for the 10th and Federal Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Hartley is a member of the American Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, the Order of the Coif and Phi Beta Kappa.
