Specializing in osteopathic medicine and board certified in family medicine with an added certification in geriatrics, he is also board certified by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. A member of the Suncoast family since 1993, he formerly completed his residency work in family medicine at Suncoast Hospital in Largo between 1991 and 1993.
Coming from a family of doctors, Dr. Grove's father, grandfather and uncle all practiced osteopathic medicine. Outside of his career at Suncoast, Dr. Grove has served as a trustee for the Suncoast Hospital Foundation and the Suncoast Hospital, was a medical director for Barrington Properties in Largo, the Oak Manor Nursing Center in Largo, the Drew Village Nursing Center in Clearwater, FL, and the Highland Pines Nursing Center. He has also served in various other roles in academia, including as a clinical assistant professor of family medicine for six years at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in North Miami Beach, FL, followed by another 14 years as a clinical associate professor before becoming a clinical professor in 2014. He has also been teaching as a clinical instructor at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine since 1993.
Dr. Grove served on the board of governors for the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He served as National President from March 2013 to March 2014. Additionally, Dr Grove is a longstanding member who served in various roles for the Florida Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians including as President from 2001 to 2002, and was the recipient of their Distinguished Service Award in 2009. Dr. Grove has served as a trustee, executive committee member and president of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association. A longstanding member of the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine Alumni Association and a lifetime member of the National Eagle Scout Association, Dr. Grove has served his local community as the chairman of the board of trustees for the SCH Foundation, and as a trustee and chairman of the development committee for St. Paul's School. Finally, for the past nine years, Dr. Grove has been on the board of trustees of the health professions division at Nova Southeastern University.
He has held a Bachelor of Science in biology from Florida Southern College since 1986 and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University since 1990.
