RALEIGH, NC, October 05, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Serena Ray Pearce with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Pearce celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Since 1973, Ms. Pearce has been the director of the adult choir, drama, handbell, junior choir, and praise team at Bethany Baptist Church in Wendell, NC. In addition to this, she was the chorus and drama director at the Zebulon GT Magnet Middle School in Zebulon, NC, from 1973 to 2006. Throughout her career, she is most proud of the achievements made by a group of middle school students with whom she was working. They were terrific singers and musicians and were very proficient at reading and understanding music. Ultimately, they put on a junior version of "Godspell," and many of them went on to be musicians.

Ms. Pearce's academic pursuits began at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she obtained a Bachelor of Music in 1973. Ultimately, she went on to study at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC, where she earned a Master of Music in 1987. Beyond this, she is a licensed teacher of music for kindergarten through 12th grade in North Carolina. She was destined to enter this field as her father was a church singer and the director asked Serena to sing her first solo at five years of age.

Now, Ms. Pearce frequently sings at various events and is a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma chapter of Key Women Educators, where she also spent time as an officer and vice president. Aside from singing, she enjoys reading and interior designing. She is proud of the fact that she designed the house she currently lives in. She has previously been featured in Who's Who of American Women.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Serena Ray Pearce has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
