From 2000 to 2005, he was an associate with Williams Mullen P.C. in McLean. Mr. Head has continued his career with Williams Mullen P.C. as a partner since 2005.
Prior to embarking on his career, Mr. Head obtained a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1992. Following this accomplishment, he earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the George Washington University in Washington, DC, in 1995 and a Master of Laws in tax from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, in 2000. He was admitted to practice law in the state of Maryland in 1995 and in Washington, DC, and the state of Virginia in 1996. Mr. Head has also been admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, the United State District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
In addition to his career, Mr. Head is the author of a tax management article for the Estates, Trusts and Pensions Journal and the book "An Affair with Beauty-The Mystique of Howard Chandler Christy: The Magic of Youth," published in 2016. He has also been associated with the George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, on the art advisory council. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar, the Virginia Bar Association, the University Club of Washington, DC, the Washington, DC, Estate Planning Council, the Northern Virginia Estate Planning Council and the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Mr. Head is also a former member of Omicron Delta Kappa.
Mr. Head was named Rising Star by the Virginia Super Lawyers Magazine in 2007 and Virginia and D.C. Super Lawyer in estate and probate law in 2018.
