Carol Keiser Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Carol Keiser is a member of NAWA, the New Hampshire League of Arts and Crafts, and Vermont State Craft Centers, and a past member of the Newbury Society of Arts and Crafts.

    PUTNEY, VT, October 29, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Ms. Keiser with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Keiser celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Ms. Keiser is a highly esteemed artist with nearly 50 years of professional experience to her credit. A painter of both canvas and tile, her work is strongly influenced by her years of travel and work in Mexico, Italy and Costa Rica. Her hand-painted tiles can be found in approximately 50 galleries throughout the United States, and her paintings are routinely exhibited across New England. Moreover, she is one of the original founders of the Putney Open Studio Craft Tour, which has been going for over 40 years. Having begun in the early 1970s, the tour is one of the original open studio craft tours in the country and it began in her town of Putney, VT.

Ms. Keiser's one-woman exhibitions have included Paintings from Mexico at the River Valley Playhouse in Putney, VT in 1988 and Interiors at the Artisan Gallery in Northampton, MA in 1993. Her group exhibitions include "Hands of the Goddess" at the Michelson Gallery in Amherst, MA in 1992 and "Tile Paintings" at the Newbury Society of Arts and Crafts in Boston, MA in 1993. She was invited to design an ornament for the White House Christmas tree in 1993. Furthermore, a painting of hers was used for the poster and catalog cover of the 2002 Yellow Barn Music Festival. Additional solo shows include in 2017 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital in Hanover, NH, and in 2000 at the Galerie Reloj in San Miguel de Alleude, MX.

Ms. Keiser obtained the Jurors Award of Distinction at the 1993 Stratton Arts Show. Likewise, she was a grantee of the New Woman Magazine to attend business seminars at the American Woman's Development Corporation. Ms. Keiser was inducted into the National Association of Women Artists in 2015.

Before embarking on her artistic career, Ms. Keiser studied at both the University of New Hampshire and the Ohio State University before receiving her Master of Education from Antioch Graduate School. She would further her education with postgraduate coursework at the Art Students League of New York.

Ms. Keiser is a member of NAWA, the New Hampshire League of Arts and Crafts, and Vermont State Craft Centers, and a past member of the Newbury Society of Arts and Crafts. Outside of her artistic endeavors, she has been a member of the Putney planning commission as well as various town committees. In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Keiser was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who in America and Who's Who of American Women.
