For just over 45 years, Mr. Engelhardt has been a successful, practicing attorney in the state of Texas. Originally going into private practice in New Braunfels, TX, after earning his law degree, he then spent several years as an examining attorney for Commercial Title Company in San Antonio, TX, and for San Antonio Title Company. Going back into private practice in New Braunfels in 1982, he has enjoyed what has since become a solid reputation for his expertise in property law.
Mr. Engelhardt has always been interested in the law and legal matters, especially property law and probate law. Serving as an officer of the Supreme Court of the United States, during his career, he was also active as an advisory director for M Bank in Brenham, TX. Prior to becoming an attorney, he spent one year teaching history at Pearsall High School in Texas beginning in 1968.

An elected fellow of the College of the State Bar of Texas, Mr. Engelhardt is also a longtime member of several professional organizations. Some of these include the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States of America, and Pi Gamma Mu, the International Honor Society in Social Sciences.

The recipient of a scholarship in history from Texas State University in 1967, Mr. Engelhardt studied at the University of Texas, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in 1968. He then earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence at St. Mary's University School of Law in 1973. He has since been admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Texas and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Born in Houston, TX, Mr. Engelhardt married his wife Jasmin Inge Nestler in 1976 and has two daughters, Angelique and Sabrina. In his down time, Mr. Engelhardt enjoys reading, studying finance and traveling.
