Dr. Jannice Aaron Celebrates 40 Years of Professional Excellence

Dr. Jannice Aaron was presented with a neuroradiology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital from Harvard Medical School with Harvard University.

    STANFORD, KY, October 30, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Jannice Aaron has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With 40 years of industry experience to her credit, Dr. Aaron has worked at Kindred Hospital, formerly Vencor Hospital, in Louisville, KY, as a medical director since 1995. Previously, she served the imaging center at Saint Anthony's Medical Center as chairman and medical director from 1988 to 1995. Prior to these appointments, she held the positions of staff member in general radiology and neuroradiology for Norton Audubon Hospital in 1988, chairman in general radiology at TJ Health Columbia in 1987, staff member in general radiology at Aaron Medical Center from 1985 to 1987, and resident in diagnostic radiology at the Yale School of Medicine from 1979 to 1982. Dr. Aaron began her career in 1978 as a staff member of Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, KY.

Before embarking on her professional path, Dr. Aaron pursued an education at the Norton Memorial Infirmary School of Nursing, where she earned registration as a nurse in 1966. She continued her academic efforts with a Bachelor of Science in 1973 at Western Kentucky University. She concluded her studies in 1977 at the University of Louisville, graduating with a Doctor of Medicine. Following these accomplishments, Dr. Aaron became a diplomate of the American Board of Radiology in 1982.

Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Dr. Aaron has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She has contributed to the School of Medicine at the University of Louisville as an associate clinical professor since 1992 and acting chairperson since 1993. At this same establishment, she has held the roles of clinical lecturer in 1993, associate professor from 1992 to 1993, adjunct associate professor of anatomical sciences and neurobiology from 1992 to 1993, and assistant clinical professor in neurology and diagnostic radiology from 1991 to 1992. On the editorial board of the Journal of the Kentucky Medical Association since 1990, Dr. Aaron found success with her written works as well, having authored a collection of short stories entitled "Open Heart" in 1993, articles for esteemed journals, chapters for books, and myriad presentations for conferences and symposiums.

In light of her exceptional undertakings, Dr. Aaron has accrued several accolades throughout her impressive career. She has been previously recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus of the Western Kentucky University. From 1982 to 1984, she was presented with a neuroradiology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital from Harvard Medical School with Harvard University. Dr. Aaron is particularly proud of her work during her fellowship, as she was one of the three selected among the field of 64 applicants.
