A senior member of the technical staff at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif. since 1977, Dr. Greenhall is a mathematician who has been successful in his field. During his tenure at the lab, he has been responsible for designing and programming measurement functions since 1980. Prior to his four-decade long career at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Dr. Greenhall was an assistant professor of mathematics at the University of Southern California between 1968 and 1973.

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory is a unique national research facility that carries out robotic space and Earth science missions. A federally funded research and development center managed for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration by the California Institute of Technology, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory continues its world-leading innovation, implementing programs in planetary exploration, Earth science, space-based astronomy and technology development, while applying its capabilities to technical and scientific problems of national significance. Conducting research in applied mathematics and statistics as applied to frequency and timing, one of Dr. Greenhall's more recent projects has notably included the simulation of power-law processes.

Dr. Greenhall obtained a patents for a system that uses a time interval counter to measure frequency stability. He has also designed algorithms for Kalman filter composite clocks. Furthermore, he has been responsible for designing a multi-channel, dual-mixer stability analyzer. Additionally, he has contributed numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals as a result of his work. Dr. Greenhall is a longstanding member of the Mathematics Association of America and senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

Prior to embarking on his professional path, Dr. Greenhall earned an undergraduate degree from Pomona College in Claremont, Calif. in 1961. He concluded his studies in 1966 at the California Institute of Technology, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy in mathematics. For his many exceptional achievements, Dr. Greenhall has been included in several editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering and Who's Who in the West between 1992 and 2016.
