Claire Mae LaGrange Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    ARNAUDVILLE, LA, November 07, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Claire Mae LaGrange with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. LaGrange celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. With nearly 30 years of industry experience to her credit, Ms. LaGrange is currently retired, having most recently worked as a branch manager for the Arnaudville Library from 2001 to 2007. Prior to this appointment, she held the position of librarian for Saint Martin Parish Library from 1999 to 2001 and Teche Elementary from 1996 to 1999. Previously, she served as a teacher for Cecilia High School from 1992 to 1996, Cecilia Junior High School from 1990 to 1992, Zwolle High School from 1986 to 1990, and Florien High School from 1984 to 1986. Ms. LaGrange began her career as a teacher's aide for the Saint Martin Parish School Board from 1979 to 1982.

Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. LaGrange pursued an education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, formerly known as the University of Southwestern Louisiana, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1983. She concluded her studies at the Northwestern State University in 1990, graduating with a Master of Education. Following these accomplishments, Ms. LaGrange was certified as a teacher of English, library sciences and special education for kindergarten through 12th grade in the state of Louisiana.

Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. LaGrange has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She contributed to the Cub Scouts for the Boy Scouts of America in Spokane, WA, as a den mother from 1967 to 1969. Likewise, Ms. LaGrange held the role of Sunday school teacher for the First Friends Church in Spokane from 1968 to 1969.

In addition to her primary vocation, Ms. LaGrange remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She had maintained involvement with the National Education Association and the National English Honor Society. She was also active with the Louisiana Association of Educators and the St. Martin Association of Educators. Furthermore, Ms. LaGrange was a member of the American Library Association.

In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. LaGrange has accrued several accolades throughout her impressive career. She was recognized as the Teacher of the Year by the Cecilia High School in Cecilia, LA, from 1996 to 1997, a fellow of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Alumni Association, and a fellow of the Northwestern State University Alumni Association. Ms. LaGrange was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women.
