PHOENIX, AZ, November 20, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Josephine Marlene Taglienti with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Taglienti celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

As an accomplished artist, Ms. Taglienti has shared her talent with others throughout the years in numerous ways. She was the artist-in-residence at the Jewish Community Center in Wilmington, DE, in 1969. From there, she hitchhiked to the University of Guanajuato in Mexico. She felt a pull to that university and she arrived at the school with a sheet of slides. A man there looked at the slides and gave her a scholarship. She considered this to be a turning point in her life. She graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in 1974.

Ms. Taglienti always wanted to be an artist, though the specifics have shifted over time. At the start, she wanted to work in fashion design. Ms. Taglienti has been represented in corporate collections in Collins, Miller & Hutchins in Chicago, Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, the Artesimo Gallery in Scottsdale, AZ, and private and public permanent collections. Beyond these accomplishments, she has had illustrations published in books, poetry published in anthologies, and has invented garden products and office implements. She was also invited to the Florence Biennale.

Throughout the years, Ms. Taglienti's civic involvement has been extensive. She has served as a cultural advocate for minority concerns from 1985 to 19888 and for the Homeless Cultural Labor Party in Chicago from 1980 to 1987. From 1978 to 1979, she was involved with the Recreation Intercity. Furthermore, she was a volunteer art educator at St. Anne's Intercity in Wilmington from 1967 to 1968. She also holds membership in the National Museum of Women in Arts, the Drawing Society, the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation.
