Dr. Raven is the recipient of dozens of awards, including a 2012 Leadership in Science Publication Service Award by the American Society of Plant Biologists, a 2010 William L. Brown Award for Excellence in Genetic Resource Conservation, and multiple achievement and service awards. In 2000, he was honored by the American Society of Plant Taxonomists with the establishment of the Peter Raven Award.
