Sally R. Angove Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Internationally, Sally R. Angove's work has been juried into the oldest miniature show in the world hosted by the Royal Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers Society of London, England

    HELENA, MT, November 21, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Sally R. Angove with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mrs. Angove celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Mrs. Angove began her career as a long distance ticket sorter at the Mountain Bell Telephone Company in Helena, MT, from 1959 to 1960. After this opportunity, she worked as an advertising manager and office manager at Vaughn-Ragsdale Company in Helena from 1960 to the end of 1961. From 1962 to 1964, she was active as policy cancellation clerk for the State of Montana Worker's Compensation, and in 1964, she served as secretary and bookkeeper for Monitor Printers in Helena. Mrs. Angove contributed to the First Christian Church in Helena as administrative secretary from 1980 to 1996 and to the Helena Art Center in Montana as director from 1996 to 1998.

From 1997 to 2014, Mrs. Angove held the positions of founding member, treasurer and partner of the member owned Upper Missouri Artists Gallery in Helena. The gallery moved in 2014 and changed its name to Mountain Sage Gallery and she continued as treasurer for one more year. She continues as partner and historian. Prior to embarking on her career, she completed undergraduate coursework at Montana State University from 1954 to 1957. Mrs. Angove also received certification from the Art Instruction Schools in Minneapolis, MN for her correspondence course in 1962.

In addition to her career, Mrs. Angove was a teacher of sumi-e ink painting from 1991 to 1993 and again from 2003 to 2006, as well as a teacher of watercolors in 2004, 2006 and since 2017. She has also been a member of the disaster committee of the American Red Cross. She is a member of the National Watercolor Society and the Montana Watercolor Society. Mrs. Angove is also an associate member of the Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers Society of Washington, DC, Kaleidoscope, Inc., and the Helena Art Center.

Mrs. Angove has had her artwork showcased in a number of exhibitions, including the Helena Art Center State Show in Montana in 1996 where she received the Best Watercolor Award. She showed her work at the Montana Institute of the Arts annual show in 1998, 2000 and 2001. She received merchandise awards in 2002, 2005 to 2006. Her work has been accepted into the Montana Watercolor Society annual national Watermedia show in 1999 and from 2002 to 2009, 2013, 2014, 2016 to 2017. She was named signature member by the Montana Watercolor Society in 2003 and was honored with the Merchandise Awards in 2004 and 2005.

Mrs. Angove appeared at the 10th Annual International Miniature Art Show by the Casper Artists' Guild in Wyoming in 2003. That year she also had her work shown at the 34th National Art Competition and Sale in Cheyenne, WY, and the Eastern Washington Watercolor Society Show in Richland. She has been accepted annually into the International Exhibition of Fine Art in Miniature by the Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers Society of Washington, DC, which is the second oldest miniature show in the world. And most years she enters the International Miniature Art Show at the Seaside Art Gallery in Nags Head, NC.as well as the Chambersburg Pennsylvania Council for the Arts annual miniature show.

From 2004 to 2006, Mrs. Angove had her work again shown at the Annual North American Miniature Art Exhibition at the Art Gallery of Fells Point in Baltimore, MD. Her art was displayed at the 13th Annual Southeast Invitational Miniature Show at the Germanton Gallery in North Carolina and the Juried Show at the Parkhurst Art Gallery in San Pedro, CA where she won the Second Place Cash Prize in the watercolor category in 2005.

Internationally, Mrs. Angoce's work has been juried into the oldest miniature show in the world hosted by the Royal Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers Society of London, England in 2009 and 2010. In 2012 two paintings were accepted into the World Federation of Miniaturists show in Moscow, Russia.
