April Graham Buonamici believes in the power of lifelong learning. Throughout her career, she worked tirelessly to give her students every learning opportunity possible.

    BOZEMAN, MT, November 27, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present April Graham Buonamici with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Buonamici celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Retiring in 2005 following 31 years of diligent service, Ms. Buonamici is a former elementary school and music teacher who found success in the Ohio public school system. Teaching for Toledo City Schools beginning in 1972, she later excelled in academic positions for the Euclid City Schools, Lyndhurst City Schools and the Solon City Schools. Taking a brief hiatus between 1976 and 1978, Ms. Buonamici traveled to Venezuela, where she taught at the Colegio Internacional Caracas, an international school that educates nursery level through grade 12 students.

Certain that education is the key to everything in life, Ms. Buonamici believes in the power of lifelong learning. Throughout her career, she worked tirelessly to give her students every learning opportunity possible. Involved in numerous extracurricular activities, she is a longstanding member of the Solon Education Association, where she notably served as the organization's president, vice president, grievance chairman and trustee between 1979 and 2005. Ms. Buonamici also established a non-profit 501(c) organization for the Montana Committee on Publication for Christian Science. She is treasurer of the board for Liberty Place, the premiere home in Montana for people with traumatic brain injury.

Additionally, Ms. Buonamici was the composer of the 1969 percussion ensemble, "Boredom." She is also the author of the 2011 book, "The Truth Behind Running for Office in America." Locally, she has been very active with the First Church of Christ in Painesville and Chagrin Falls, Ohio, having served as president and on the board of directors. Likewise, Ms. Buonamici has also volunteered with the Bozeman Boy Scouts of America.

Born in Maumee, Ohio, Ms. Buonamici is the proud mother of three children, and has welcomed a grandchild into her family as well. She loves to practice piano and go skiing in her free time. A certified music and elementary teacher in the state of Ohio, Ms. Buonamici pursued an education at Bowling Green State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in music in 1972 and a Master of Education in 1973.
