For more than 50 years, Ms. MacDonald has excelled in music and musical education. Since the early 1970s, she has worked as a private woodwind instructor as well as a teacher with the University of Maine as well. A member of the International Double Reed Society, she obtained a Bachelor of Music in instrumental music education and a Master of Music in music literature and performance from Eastman School of Music. In a career filled with highlights, the moments that stand out to Ms. MacDonald include playing with her teacher in the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and playing under well-known conductor Arthur Fiedler.
While she was pursuing her bachelor's degree, Ms. MacDonald had the honor of touring for three months with an orchestra chosen by the State Department to represent the United States throughout Europe and Russia. For her excellence in the field, she has been recognized many times, earning features in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Entertainment, Who's Who in American Education and Who's Who of American Women. In the coming years, Ms. MacDonald intends to continue parlaying her love of music to a new generation of audiences.
