Ms. Wickham St. Germain is an environmental engineer and chemist with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 7, in Kansas City, KS. Employed with the agency since 2001, she serves as a supervisor of chemists, where she enjoys the challenge of guiding a team of technical and independent staff to meet its mission. Under Ms. Wickham St. Germain consists 20 innovative chemists and support staff members that produce high quality data to customers. An exciting role where she enjoys seeing the results of her leadership, she formerly held the role of environmental scientist/quality assurance specialist between 1998 and 2001 and chemist between 1994 and 1998. In addition to her work at the EPA, Ms. Wickham St. Germain was the owner of Wickham Science Services.

A career in the sciences that dates back to 1977, Ms. Wickham St. Germain began working as a laboratory technician for the VA Hospital in Kansas City during college. One year later, she was hired by the Midwest Research Institute in Kansas City, where she remained for 16 years. Hired as a junior chemist, she then earned the titles of junior mass spectrometrist in 1980. Working her way up to senior mass spectrometrist by 1990, she remained in her position for another four years before accepting her first position with the EPA.

Ms. Wickham St. Germain is the author of the 1994 journal publication "Method Development for VOST Fractionator." She is the co-author of "Determination of Fifty-one Priority Organic Compounds After Extraction from Standard Reference Materials" (1983) and "Binary Mixtures of Permanganate and Chlorinated Volatile Organic Compounds in Groundwater Samples: Sample Preservation and Analysis" (2012). She is a longtime member, counselor and founding member of the regional younger chemist committee of the American Chemical Society, where she formerly served in a number of roles, including chairman and secretary. She is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Society for Mass Spectrometry, the Society for Applied Spectroscopy, the Air and Waste Management Association, and several sororities.

Locally, Ms. Wickham St. Germain has long been active with the mid-continent council for the Girl Scouts of the United States of America since 1962. She has also been a member of the St. Bernadette's Church in Kansas City since 1986.

Ms. Wickham St. Germain has been included in several editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the Midwest and Who's Who of American Women. She has held a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from St. Mary College since 1978 and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Missouri since 2000. Married to Christopher Newman St. Germain since June 1988, Ms. Wickham St. Germain has one son. In her free time, she loves to garden, ride horses and participates in trail competitions and fox hunting.
