ANCHORAGE, AK, December 31, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Charlotte Town, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Charlotte celebrates many years of experience in her professional community and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities and the credentials and successes she has earned in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, note worthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence in a field are taken into account during the selection process.

Charlotte started her art career in grade school by entering a "Smoky The Bear" poster contest and winning Honorable Mention. Her working career started 53 years ago at a restaurant as a bus girl; she worked at that going up through the restaurant jobs to chef. Charlotte was a bartender and cocktail server before earning a Stenographic Secretarial degree and working at the United States Forestry transposing dictation. Charlotte moved on to Del Monte Foods, Inc. from 1975-1981 as a Quality Control Specialist in cannery cleanliness. In 1981-1982 Charlotte worked as Maintenance Supervisor in high security buildings, 1982-1985 as an assay lab technician, 1985-1993 as a taxi driver, and 1993-1995 as a dispatcher for a taxi company. In 1995 Charlotte had the opportunity to go back to school and earn her long awaited Bachelor of Art degree. While working toward her degree she worked for University of Alaska's Disability Support Services as a disability support assistant. From 2000-2006 Charlotte worked as a graphic artist and multimedia support technician for the United States Army at Fort Richardson, Alaska. While working for the Army, Charlotte had one of her paintings published as a cover for Fort Richardson's Moose Run Golf Course magazine. Graduating with her Bachelor of Art degree in 2006, she opened her own art studio, "Alaska Sex Stones Studio" where she does free lance art in any median including graphic art. Charlotte continues to work at The Port of Alaska as a Stevedoress (longshore woman). Charlotte is also an ordained minister who performs weddings throughout Alaska and helps battered people find the strength to move on to a better life.

A respected voice in her community, Charlotte is affiliated with "AMVETS Auxiliary Post 2" in Anchorage as a life time member and was their Second Vice President for 6 1/2 years in charge of children's welfare. During that time, and even now when asked, she and her husband volunteer as Mr. and Mrs. Claus along with dressing as other costumed characters for nonprofit organizations. Charlotte has been a member of Women in the Arts and exhibited her art work at many venues over the years earning awards of Division Champion, First Place, Second Place, and Honorable Mention. Charlotte and her husband won a World Championship for C Division, in the Medalist Soft-tip Darts World Championship Tournament held in Portland, OR in 1993. Charlotte has appeared in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Marquis Who's Who of American Women and Marquis Who's Who of American Women in the Arts. Charlotte has done all of this while living with Crohn's Disease, other multiple health issues, raising children and taking care of her mother who sadly died of lung cancer in 2005.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Ms. Town has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
