SAINT MICHAELS, MD, January 16, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Carol Lee Chisholm, Ph.D., with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Chisholm celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Chisholm led an interesting career as both a teacher and psychologist. First serving as an elementary school teacher in 1962 and tutor and home teacher in 1966, she later taught at the college level at both Townson State University and the University of Delaware. She then worked in the field as a psychologist, consultant and computer applications coordinator for the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company beginning in 1980 before being hired as a research psychologist for the U.S. government, where she remained for 20 years until 2008. During Dr. Chisholm's tenure with the government, she also spent four years as an instructor at the Central Intelligence Agency University, the primary education facility of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency in Chantilly, VA, between 2004 and 2008.

Teaching school-aged children up until 1978 when her husband passed away, Dr. Chisholm was left to raise her two young children on her own. After talking to a social worker at the hospital in which he died, Dr. Chisholm decided to go back to school and pursue a new career in psychology. While working for the U.S. government, one of the projects that Dr. Chisholm was tasked to do was locate all Arabic speaking people in the country and test them against those who did not speak Arabic to see if they could speak the language. She also tested the subjects who did speak Arabic to see if they were willing to speak it, which meant the subject would be unwilling to translate for the government. This was in 2001. It was a fascinating experience.

Dr. Chisholm is a longtime member of the American Psychological Association, the Eastern Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the Personnel Testing Council of Metropolitan Washington and Phi Kappa Phi. Locally, she serves as a workshop presenter at her local Lutheran church, is a screening committee member of the American Field Service and member of the Friends National Zoo and the Smithsonian Resident Associates.

Named Outstanding Graduate Student in Psychology by Towson State University in 1981, Dr. Chisholm received a Faculty Award from the psychology department at the University of Delaware that same year for her expertise. She also received a Career Intelligence Medal from the Central Intelligence Agency in 2008. She has been cited in several editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East and Who's Who of American Women between 1991 and 1994. She notably holds a Bachelor of Science in education from State Teachers College, a Master of Arts in psychology from Towson State University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in psychology from the University of Delaware.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Carol Lee Chisholm, Ph.D., has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
