Claudia Seymour has been celebrated on many occasions, earning the Art Spirit Foundation Dianne B. Bernhard Silver Medal Award in Pastel from the Salmagundi Club.

A wildly talented artist with both oils and pastels, Ms. Seymour has had her work represented by a number of galleries, including Handwright Gallery and Susan Powell Fine Art in Connecticut, J.M. Stringer Gellery in Florida, and Gladwell and Patterson in London. Over the years, her work has been featured in almost 200 national and international exhibitions for the International Guild of Realism, the Connecticut Collaborative, Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, Inc., the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod and the Kent Art Association, as well as many others. Ms. Seymour takes her inspiration from life, creating scenes that portray timeless elegance and serenity through light.
In a career filled with highlights, Ms. Seymour is quite proud of her stint as president of the Salmagundi Club from 2007 until 2013. Recently, she exhibited her work with the Oil Painters of America Annual International Exhibition, the American Masters 10th Anniversary Exhibition and the Connecticut Pastel Society Renaissance in Pastel Annual Exhibition. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Ms. Seymour is affiliated with the American Artists Professional League, the Allied Artists of America, American Women Artists, Audubon Artists and the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, all of which she serves as a juried member.
Prior to beginning in the field, Ms. Seymour holds a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Duke University. She later graduated with a Master of Arts in English literature from New York University. Additionally, Ms. Seymour has completed coursework with the Art Students League, the Cape School of Art and Silvermine School of Art.
Utilizing her extensive expertise, Ms. Seymour has contributed to such articles as "Using Objects in Multiple Compositions" in the International Artist Magazine and "Destined to Bloom," which was featured in The Artist's Magazine. For her outstanding accomplishments, she has been celebrated on many occasions, earning the Art Spirit Foundation Dianne B. Bernhard Silver Medal Award in Pastel from the Salmagundi Club, the Frank C. Wright Jr. Medal of Honor in Oil from the American Artists Professional League, the First Prize in Pastel at the Greenwich Art Society's Spring Show, and an honorable mention in The Pastel Journal for her piece "Lanterns in the Window." In the coming years, Ms. Seymour intends to continue exhibiting her work in exhibitions all around the world.
