Sandra Kednocker Henry has been presented with the President George H. W. Bush Award for Outstanding Community Service in America from the Points of Light Foundation.

Prior to this appointment, Ms. Henry began her career as the vice president of financial operations for the Intervest Group from 1984 to 1990.

Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Henry pursued an education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English language and literature in 1959. She continued her academic efforts with postgraduate studies in marketing management from 1966 to 1967 at the Carl H. Lindner College of Business in the University of Cincinnati. Following these accomplishments, she graduated from the Finance Forum at the BMO Harris Bank in Chicago in 1992 as well as the Mediation Program for Alternative Dispute Resolution at the Council of Better Business Bureaus in 1994. Ms. Henry concluded her studies in 1997 at the Harvard University Executive Program at Harvard Business School, obtaining a professional designation.

Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Henry has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She has notably contributed to multiple boards and committees for the Five Hospital Foundation, the American Heart Association, Mundelein College, the Japan America Society of Chicago, Children's Home and Aid, and the House of Good Shepherd, to name a few. She additionally held the roles of an advisory council volunteer for the Lieutenant Governor of Illinois, the division benefit chairman and vice chairman for the Shakespeare's Globe Centres, an Illinois delegate for the American Cancer Society and a docent for the Palm Springs Air Museum. Furthermore, Ms. Henry found success with her work for the Chicago Leadership Corps at United States Air Force Bases.

In addition to her primary vocation, Ms. Henry remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She has maintained involvement on the board of governors for the American Biographical Institute Research Association, the board of directors for the La Quinta Arts Foundation, the auxiliary board of directors for Eisenhower Health, and the board of directors for the Junior League of America, for which he also was a lifetime member. She was further active with the National Association of Female Executives, the Huguenot Society of America, the Hotchkiss Family Association, the International Platform Association, the Society of the Strategic Air Command and the National Society of New England Women. Furthermore, Ms. Henry was a member of the National Society of Daughters of Founders and Patriots of America, the Daughters of Union Veterans, the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of Colonial Wars and the National Society of the Dames of the Court of Honor, among other societies.

In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Henry has accrued several accolades throughout her impressive career. She has been presented with the President George H. W. Bush Award for Outstanding Community Service in America from the Points of Light Foundation, the Commendation for Civic Leaders in America from the United States Air Force, the National Award for Outstanding Community Service, the J.C. Penny Golden Rule Award, and an Award for Community Service from the governor's advisory board for the state of Illinois. She was recognized as the Outstanding Volunteer of the Year in Chicago in 1990 and North Shore Magazine's Person of the Year in 1991. Moreover, Ms. Henry was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women.
