PHOENIX, AZ, January 21, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Richard S. Plattner with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Plattner celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Plattner has practiced law in Phoenix Arizona for more than 40 years. Mr. Plattner served as a judge pro tempore for the Maricopa Superior Court from 1986 to 2003 and the Arizona Court of Appeals in 1993. He volunteered on the Maricopa County Sheriff's Posse from 1983 to 2013. He volunteered for many years with the State Bar civil practice and procedure committee and has served on Arizona Supreme Court committees. He has contributed numerous articles to various legal journals, including a monthly column, in the Arizona Attorney on "Arizona Appellate Highlights" since 1985. He is a sought after speaker about trial practice, ethics, and the psychology of persuasion.

The American Board of Trial Advocates, Phoenix chapter, named him Lawyer of the Year in 2017. Also in 2017 Mr. Plattner received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Arizona Association for Justice. He has been included in Best Lawyers in America and Best Lawyers in Arizona since 1999, has long been AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and has been included in every edition of Who's Who in American Law between 1987 and 2008 and several editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the West and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.

He also sings in the congregation choir, plays guitar and drums, and describes himself as an enthusiastic, although not especially talented, golfer.

Mr. Plattner earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Michigan State University in 1973, followed by a Juris Doctor from Arizona State University in 1977. He has been admitted to practice law before the Arizona State Bar, the U.S. District Court of Arizona and the Ninth Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals.
