Angelo A. Sedacca Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Angelo A. Sedacca was made a Hereditary Knight in the Royal Order of the Engabu and in the Royal Order of the Omujwaara Kondo.

Over the course of two decades, Mr. Sedacca has found much success with the New York City Police Department. After beginning his career with the 40th Precinct in 1999, he became a detective in the NYPD's Internal Affairs Bureau. Following this appointment, Mr. Sedacca has excelled, serving as a Sergeant in the 42nd Precinct as well as in the Internal Affairs Bureau, where he serves as an investigator and as an instructor in their Training Unit.

For three years, Mr. Sedacca has also served as an adjunct professor of Theology and of French at Fordham University. In a career filled with many highlights, he most fondly remembers the opportunity to meet many officers from different parts of the world, for which he is very grateful. In order to remain active and engaged in his areas of expertise, Mr. Sedacca is affiliated with the Linguistic Society of America, the National Notary Association, the American College of Heraldry and the International Police Association. He is also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus for 30 years.

Mr. Sedacca is a life member of the Loyal Legion of the US (MOLLUS), the Naval Order of the US, the St. George's Society of NY, and its sister group in the UK, the Royal Society of St. George. He is a member of several NYPD fraternal organizations, including the Anchor Club, the Columbia Association, and the Holy Name Society.

Outside of his primary endeavors, Mr. Sedacca worked as a catechist for RCIA (Roman Catholic initiation of adults) for 20 years, preparing adult converts and candidates to receive the sacraments and become members of the Catholic Church. For over thirty years, he has also served his parish as a Lector and a Eucharistic Minister. Moreover, he is a fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts and the Royal Asiatic Society, two learned societies based in London.

Prior to embarking on his professional path, Mr. Sedacca earned a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Italian Studies from Fordham University. He later obtained a Master of Arts in French Language and Civilization from New York University, and a Master of Arts in Religious Studies from St. Joseph's Seminary. Mr. Sedacca is currently concluding his studies at Saint Joseph's Seminary as a Master of Arts candidate in theology.

Due to his outstanding accomplishments and benevolent work, Mr. Sedacca has been decorated many times. He was made a Hereditary Knight in the Royal Order of the Engabu and in the Royal Order of the Omujwaara Kondo. Chevalier Sedacca has also been invested as a Knight in SMOM, the Order of the Holy Sepulchre, and in The Most Vulnerable Order of St. John. Likewise, he has been featured in: Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who in American Education. Looking toward the future, Mr. Sedacca intends to further cement his legacy with exemplary service in the New York City Police Department.

In 2011, Mr. Sedacca has also been granted armorial bearings from Queen Elizabeth II through the College of Arms in London. He is also: a Kentucky Colonel, a Nebraska Admiral, and an Honorary Colonel in the Alabama Militia.
