Dr. Jong Bum Choi began his career as a student at Chonnam National University, where he earned a Doctor of Medicine in 1977. He has been certified as a physician and is a licensed medical doctor, chest surgeon and cardiac surgeon.
A respected leader in his community, Dr. Choi has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. He is a member of the Korean Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery and has contributed articles to professional journals. In addition to his work in the field, he served with the Korean Army, obtaining the rank of captain.
