In 2012 Fitzgerald received a NYFA MARK 12 Bootcamp Award; in 2002 she was chosen by the Jury of the Artcanal in Le Landeron, Switzerland to exhibit her Amish Quilt installation. She also received the Juror's Award – 4th Annual Small Works Competition, NY.U, NY: The Charles Levitt Award, National Academy Galleries, NYC; The Michael M Engel Memorial Award, National Arts Club, NYC; Second Prize and Honorable Mention – The New Yorker Theater Mural Competition, NYC.
