Dr. Patricia D. Galloway is an international arbitrator and president of Galloway Arbitration.

Dr. Galloway is an international arbitrator and president of Galloway Arbitration. Specializing in energy and construction matters, she brings with her more than 35 years of experience in United States domestic and international arbitration. She has also provided strategic advice for more than 40 years to boards and senior management concerning governance, management structures and performance and risk management. She currently serves as a board member for Granite Construction, Inc., Pegasus Global Holdings, Inc., the American Arbitration Association, and is an Emeritus board member of SCANA.

A former chief executive officer of Pegasus Global Holdings, Inc., in Cle Elum, WA, from 2008 to 2018, Dr. Galloway was responsible for overseeing the overall strategy of the firm. She also served 23 years with Nielsen-Wurster Group in New York City. Hired in 1981 as a senior consultant, she served in numerous capacities, including senior engineer, executive vice president, president and finally chief executive officer and president between 2001 and 2004. She previously worked for CH2M Hill in Milwaukee as a project engineer, inspector and master program scheduler between 1978 and 1981.

Throughout her career, Dr. Galloway has lectured at Columbia University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was a visiting professor at her alma mater, Kochi University of Technology, in Japan. She has presented at numerous organizations, was president of Unionville Ranch LLC in Washington, partner of Unionville Vineyards in Ringoes, NJ, and chief executive, board of directors member and advisory board member of Nielsen-Wurster Asia Pacific in Melbourne, Australia.

Dr. Galloway has been a member of several arbitral institution panels, including the ICC, CPA, ICBR and the American Arbitration Association. In 2006, she was appointed by President George W. Bush to the U.S. National Science Board to serve a six-year term, during which time she also served as vice chair from 2008 to 2010. An elected fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Dr. Galloway was ACTE's first women to serve as its President in 2004 and served in several other capacities for the organization as well, including board chair, international director, and its board of directors. She currently serves on the membership committee since 2001 and as president-elect since 2003. She is a member and director of engineering of the National Science Foundation since 2004, member and past president of the Wisconsin and New York chapters of the Society of Women Engineers and director of the public board of the Project Management Institute. Furthermore, Dr. Galloway is a Fellow and longtime member of the American Association of Cost Engineers, the American Nuclear Society and the American Arbitration Association, among others. The Society of Women Engineers notably named her as a Distinguished New Engineer in 1980 and later honored her with a Mobility Award in 2003.

Hoping to serve as an inspiration to young girls and women interested in the field of engineering and construction, Dr. Galloway noted that being afforded the opportunity to serve as the president of a company has certainly been a career highlight. Recognized several times for her accomplishments, she has been the recipient of a Tribute to Women in Industry Award by the YWCA in 2004, received a National Leadership Award from Professional Women in Construction in 1995 and was named Engineer of the Year by Mercer County Professional Engineers in 1990, among other awards. She was also named One of Top 10 Women in Construction by Engineering New Record in 1986 and One of Top 10 Women by Glamour Magazine for 1987 and 1988 and has been cited in approximately 40 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, and Who's Who of American Women.

Dr. Galloway earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Purdue University in 1978, followed by a Master of Business Administration from New York Institute of Technology in 1984 and Doctor of Philosophy in civil engineering at Kochi University of Technology in 2005. She holds a certificate in dispute resolution from Pepperdine Law School-Straus Institute and is a registered professional engineer in Kentucky, New York, New Jersey, Arizona, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Florida, Washington, Colorado, Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, as well as Manitoba, Canada, and Australia.
