David R. Herritt has been recognized for his contributions, including with the Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts of America.

In addition to his primary role, he was a scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 1004, served on the Buckeye Council, and has been a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Among the highlights of his career, he cites being a scoutmaster as a crowning achievement, as he mentored 30 Eagle Scouts.

Delving into his career after a natural progression of events and through the suggestion of an undergraduate professor, Mr. Herritt began his career as a student at Malone University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in education in 1969. He later joined Ashland University, earning a Master of Education in 1985. He has been certified as a teacher in the state of Ohio.

A respected voice in the industry, Mr. Herritt has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. He is a member of the National Education Association, the Ohio Education Association, the East Central Ohio Education Association, the Canton Professional Educators Association and the National Eagle Scout Association, among many others.

Throughout his career, Mr. Herritt has been recognized for his contributions. The recipient of the Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts of America, he has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education and Who's Who in the Midwest.
