A passionate intellectual, Jack Foley serves as executive producer-in-charge of the Poetry Program at KPFA-FM, and as a literary critic.

In a career filled with highlights, he recalls that the Lifetime Achievement Award he received from the Berkeley Poetry Festival was the highlight of his career. An expert in his field, Mr. Foley earned a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Cornell University and a Master of Arts in English literature from the University of California, Berkeley.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Foley was affiliated with the National Poetry Association and the Modern Language Association. Over the years, he has authored a number of works, including "The Dancer & the Dance: A Book of Distinctions," "Grief Songs," "The Tiger and Other Tales," "Visions & Affiliations: A California Literary Timeline: Poets & Poetry 1940-2005" and "Ash on an Old Man's Sleeve." Due to his skill in the industry, the city of Berkeley, California eponymously honored him with 'Jack Foley Day.' Professional publications such as Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Entertainment and Who's Who in the West have also celebrated him for his work. Looking toward the future, Mr. Foley intends to continue working with KPFA-FM.
