Dr. Kaup Shetty Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Endocrinology

An expert in his field, Dr. Shetty dedicated his career to treating diseases related to hormonal imbalances

    MILWAUKEE, WI, February 01, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Kaup Shetty has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. As an endocrinologist and educator, Dr. Shetty dedicated his career to the medical study and practice of hormonal imbalances and the diseases and disorders associated with them. Retired since 2000, he concluded his career as an Emeritus Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he was a member of the faculty since 1972. After pursuing his higher education, he became an attending physician in Geriatrics, Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism at the VA Medical Center and the Medical College of Wisconsin, Miwaukee, WI. In recognition of his professional excellence, Dr. Shetty was selected for inclusion into Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the Midwest, and Who's Who in the World.

Before establishing his career, Dr. Shetty prepared for his profession by pursuing and completing his education. Following his completion of a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at Mysore Medical College in 1965, he pursued a residency in internal medicine at VA Medical Center in Chicago and Milwaukee. Thereafter, he was a fellow in endocrinology and metabolism at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Today, Dr. Shetty is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine, who has accredited him with certifications in internal medicine, endocrinology and metabolism. Considered an expert in his field, he remained at the top of his field during his career through his professional affiliations. Namely, he was a member of the Endocrine Society and a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the Royal College of Physicians of Canada, and the American College of Endocrinology. His research interests are in hormonal changes with aging, post-polio syndrome, osteoporosis, and metabolic accompaniments of inactivity. He attributes his research accomplishments to his mentor and eminent physician, the late Dr. Daniel Rudman, professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. As he looks to the future, Dr. Shetty intends to continue enjoying his retirement while taking on select opportunities and projects in the field of medicine.
