Prior to obtaining his current role, he was a senior partner of Hunt, Ortman, Blasco, Palffy & Rossell, Inc., from 1990 to 1995, a partner at Munns, Kofford, Hoffman, Hunt & Throckmorton from 1969 to 1990, and a partner at Behymer, Hoffman & Hunt from 1965 to 1968. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hunt was a member of Behymer & Hoffman from 1960 to 1965 and a law clerk with the Superior Court of Los Angeles County Appellate Department from 1959 to 1960.
Mr. Hunt began his career as a student at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1956. He then joined the University of Southern California, earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1959. He has been admitted to practice law in the state of California.
A leading voice in his field, Mr. Hunt has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the California Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the American Arbitration Association, where he has served as both an arbitrator and mediator. A contributor of articles to numerous legal journals, he has authored and co-authored a number of books in relation to his areas of expertise as well. In addition to his primary roles, he has been a frequent lecturer at the University of California, Los Angeles, on matters of litigation, continuing education and construction law.
Throughout his career, Mr. Hunt has been recognized for his contributions. The Los Angeles County Bar Association gave him an Outstanding Real Estate Lawyer Award and the Outstanding Achievement in Construction Law Legal Writing Award. The recipient of a Flaig Award, he was named a Super Lawyer in Construction Law by Los Angeles Magazine. He has also been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the West and Who's Who in the World.
