Earlier in her career, she served as a clinical professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1982 to 2001. Over the years, she has also gained valuable experience with the Wisconsin Association for Perinatal Care, the Nursing Network on Violence Against Women International and the Domestic Abuse Intervention Services, where she served as former presidents of the directing boards. In a career filled with highlights, working with adult students with special needs stands out as a crowning achievement, as she enjoyed watching them persevere and rise above their struggles and limitations.

An expert in her field, Dr. Diemer holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin. In order to remain abreast of changes in the field, she has maintained affiliation with the Nurses Association of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Wisconsin Association for Perinatal Care, the Wisconsin District Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau.

For her outstanding accomplishments, Dr. Diemer has been recognized with features in Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare and Who's Who in American Nursing. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading and playing bridge. Looking toward the future, Dr. Diemer intends to continue enjoying her retirement.
